A peaceful, independent Himalayan mountain sanctuary situated at ~8,500 ft elevation on the Mussoorie-Chamba highway in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
Grounded Himalayan Living Away From the Concrete Jungle
Kanatal Camp & Cottages was established with a singular vision: to offer travelers a genuine, unhurried taste of the Garhwal mountains without compromising on safety, cleanliness, or nighttime warmth.
While many commercial tourist spots have succumbed to noisy concrete construction and overcrowded corridors, we maintain an intimate boutique scale with 12 rooms/cottages in total alongside Swiss tents on the property grounds. Our individually numbered cottages (including photographed units #102 through #111) are built with authentic exposed brickwork, rustic pitched roofs, 24×7 hot water, and wide windows opening out onto terraced valleys and mist-laden pine ridges.
We take pride in warm, personalized care. From freshly prepared meals at our Red Roof Restaurant on MAP (Modified American Plan — breakfast & dinner included) to evening fires on our manicured lawn, our aim is to provide a serene mountain home. Dining features standard homestyle menus with fixed timings, served buffet-style or plated depending on guest occupancy.
